I am a consultant practising in the NHS appointed 2006. My main practise is as a Gynaecological Oncologist managing and treating women with gynaecological malignancy. I run diagnostic clinics for women referred with suspected cancer and other gynaecological conditions. I was reaccredited by the BSCCP as a registered colposcopist in 2021.

In total, I have 28 years experience as a gynaecologist working in the UK. My gynaecological oncology practice includes treating women with vulval, vaginal, cervical, ovarian and endometrial cancer. I am an expert robotic minimal access surgeon and I teach new surgeons in roboticic surgery. I treat NHS patients using traditional open, laparoscopic and robot assisted minimal access surgery.

I undertake in excess of 100 procedures a year for benign and malignant gynaecological conditions including total robotic hysterectomy, total radical hysterectomy and pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy. I also perform open surgery, for example for patients with ovarian cancer.

I was revalidated by the General Medical Council in February 2020. I am registered with the UK Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists for continuing professional development and have been appraised annually since my appointment. I am up to date with CPD requirements. I am an examiner for the Part 3 MRCOG Exam and am a recognised trainer within my specialty and sub specialty. In my previous post I was Chair of the Northern Cancer Alliance Network and Network GO NCRI Lead for Research. I also worked within Health Education England and was involved in training in the UK Foundation Training Programme. I have a PG Cert in Medical Education and was a Foundation Programme Director for the Deanery.
