Mr Otto von Arx is an Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon specialising in spinal surgery.
Mr Von Arx has been elected to the British Association of Spinal Surgeons Executive. He is the spinal surgical lead at both Sulis Hospital Bath and the Royal United Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Mr von Arx is a board member of the Severn Spine Regional operational delivery network.
He has undertaken research and audit projects during his career which have culminated in local and international podium presentations and publications in peer reviewed journals.
His expertise includes, but is not limited to, spinal surgery with expertise of spinal surgical practice, including pre-operative, peri-operative and post-operative care of spinal trauma and elective spinal surgery.
His practice includes the operative and non-operative management of back pain, degenerative lumbar pathology, lumbar disc pathology, spinal stenoses, traumatic and osteoporotic spinal fractures, cervical spine pathology and medico-legal practice.
Mr Otto von Arx is an expert witness in personal injury and negligence cases involving all areas of spinal pathology , including the preparation of medico-legal reports and appearing in court as an expert witness. His expert witness practice includes Claimant and Defendant instructions and as a Single Joint Expert.
