Infosecurity announce details for UK Autumn Virtual Conference

London, UK (23rd  September 2011) – Information security is one of the top priorities for businesses and organisations across the world and the Infosecurity 2011 UK autumn virtual conference, on the 27th September 2011 will cover all the key issues. The event will bring together a series of topical and informative sessions which will cover issues from security in businesses, to career advice on how to make progress in the information security profession. The keynote address will focus on the evolution of security and how it has become a C-level issue.  Looking at the importance for businesses to become intelligently instrumented and interconnected, Professor John Walker and Marc van Zadelhoff director of strategy at IBM, will begin the conference with their informative talk on how to secure the enterprise in the smarter planet. The conference also covers the E-Crime industry, focusing on how cybercrime has become an industry in its own right. Sarb Sembhi from ISACA and Jeremy Dallman Senior Security Program Manager at Microsoft’s Trustworthy Computing (TwC) group will take a glimpse into the life of cybercriminals, investigating how cybercriminals pay their bills and how they continue to become increasingly powerful and a perilous force in 2011. 

Bob Tarzey and Peter Wood CEO of First Base Technologies, look into the controversial topic of data breach disclosure, addressing the unwillingness of many organisations to admit and how to best disclose a data breach, to ensure minimum collateral damage. Another topical session held at the Infosecurity virtual conference will cover how the rise in use of tablet computers and iPads will impact enterprises.  Chenxi Wang and Steve Durbin, focus on how iPads affect security in organisations and the challenges they pose for IT managers.
