LSHP Ltd opens new health centre in Liverpool

Your Expert Witness LSHPA new £6m Neighbourhood Health Centre in Anfield has just opened, becoming the latest new build as part of Liverpool PCT’s wider vision for a ‘New Health Service for Liverpool’.

Since 2007, millions of pounds have been invested in purpose-built or improved facilities across the city to make services available closer to people’s homes.

The new facility is situated on land formerly occupied by a primary school and opened its doors to the public in January. The development was delivered by Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership, the NHS LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) for Liverpool and Sefton.

Galliford Try also supported as developers for the contract, and Taylor Young were behind the building’s stunning architecture and design.

Graham Pink, Chief Executive of LSHP Ltd said, “Townsend Lane is our latest successful development, and the latest of seven new neighbourhood centres to open which will serve communities across Liverpool.

“The centre will provide members of the local community with a modern, friendly and easily accessible healthcare facility located close to where they live. We hope that it will prove a real asset for local residents for many years to come.”

Gideon Ben-Tovim, Chair of Liverpool PCT said it was “yet another success story” for the New Health Service for Liverpool programme.
He said: “The feedback we have already had from patients has been overwhelmingly positive and the centre has already become an integral part of the community.”

LSHP Ltd are also currently working on a second Anfield Neighbourhood Health Centre, as well as a new centre in Kensington. Brand new facilities have already opened in Everton, Breeze Close, Picton, Yewtree, Oriel Drive, Speke, Garston, and Childwall under the project.
