Consultant Forensic Scientist & Chartered Forensic Practitioner

Ethos Forensics was established in 2011 by forensic scientist Sue Carney-Gannon. Previously employed by the former UK Forensic Science Service, Sue established Ethos Forensics with the aim of providing independent, ethically-driven forensic science consultancy to Defence Counsel.

Sue undertakes expert witness instructions, including the preparation of expert reports and giving evidence in court, in cases relating to her specialist areas of expertise, including:

  • DNA profile interpretation, including mixtures and low level results
  • Body fluid test and distribution interpretation, including blood pattern analysis
  • Fabric damage interpretation

Sue has dealt with many hundreds of cases involving crimes against the person, in UK and international jurisdictions, and has given expert testimony in Crown Court on numerous occasions.

Instructions can be accepted on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a Single Joint Expert.
