A founding partner of Overford, Jason Sharp is an accomplished Quantity Surveyor, respected quantum expert and testifying expert with more than 26 years’ experience at the heart of the construction industry. He operates across the Construction, Oil & Gas, Rail, Engineering and Infrastructure sectors, bringing together technical expertise, commercial judgement and dispute resolution experience.
Jason holds a BSc in Quantity Surveying and an LLM in Construction Law, Arbitration and Adjudication. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a UK Adjudicators Panel Adjudicator and an RICS Certified Expert Witness.
With roots in the UK contracting sector, Jason has built a career spanning both project delivery and dispute resolution. He has held senior Legal and Commercial Manager roles for major building and civil engineering organisations, following earlier experience as commercial lead on complex projects valued up to £30m and as part of in-house legal and dispute teams.
Over the past 15 years, Jason has operated within the consultancy arena and has developed a strong reputation for clarity, rigour and independence. He is widely recognised as an experienced Party Representative, adjudicator, RICS Certified Expert Witness and testifying quantum expert, valued for combining deep technical knowledge with a practical, commercially grounded perspective.

Jason has been instructed on more than 30 occasions in the past five years on matters relating to quantum. The scope and breadth of the expert appointments include appointments by instructing solicitors, parties directly and acting as a court appointed single joint expert. The instructions have been to provide CPR Part 35 compliant reports in litigation. The values of the disputes have ranged from £30,000 to over £20m.
All reports are CPR Part 35 compliant, easy to read and logically structured so as to provide a clear logical analysis of the subject matter.
