Mr David Shaw is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with over 25 years at consultant level and more than three decades’ experience preparing medicolegal reports for clinical negligence, disability, and personal injury cases.
A Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 1996, he has prepared expert medicolegal reports since 1989. He is listed on the General Medical Council specialist register and holds fellowships in general surgery and orthopaedics. Mr Shaw was awarded an international fellowship in trauma surgery by the AO Foundation. Now in independent private practice his elective practice focuses on hip and knee primary and revision arthroplasty. From 1996 to 2023 he provided consultant level elective & emergency trauma management and complex fracture care at BTHFT NHS Trauma hospital. He offers solicitors and Medical Report Agencies reliable, timely, and defensible expert reports.
