A qualified experienced marine engineer with a degree in electrical engineering, Mr Mik Chinery has spent many years as an engineer, a captain and a RYA instructor.
For the last 20 years the majority of his work has been with Hatteras Yachts as their International Service Director, and then Sunseeker Yachts travelling worldwide. He has trained military personnel, Border Force, the National River Authority and police forces.
Mr Chinery has considerable experience of Sunseeker, Princess, Fairline, Birchwood, Gulf Craft, Hatteras, Sealine, Avon, Delta as well as marine engines including Caterpillar, Detroit, Volvo, MTU, Ford, Mercruiser, BMW and Vetus. As a Scuba Diving Instructor he also has experience of diving equipment, compressors and dive boats.

He is very familiar with producing detailed reports, photographs and diagrams for use in court. His experience includes vessels up to 50 metres in length although not oil tankers, bulk carriers, ferries or merchant shipping.
Mr Chinery can act on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a Single Joint Expert.
