Mr Francesc Malagelada is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal London Hospital – Europe’s busiest major trauma centre – and is also in private practice.
He holds sub-specialty training in foot and ankle surgery following completion of a British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (BOFAS) accredited fellowship and has practised exclusively within this field for the past 10 years.
Mr Malagelada has researched and published extensively, with over 75 peer-reviewed PubMed scientific publications in Trauma and Orthopaedic conditions. He completed a PhD focused on minimally invasive foot and ankle techniques and orthobiologics. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London.
His areas of specialist interest include complex foot and ankle trauma and polytrauma, sports injuries, minimally invasive surgery, hallux valgus and deformity correction, arthritis, bone infection and amputation.
Mr Malagelada undertakes expert witness instructions, including the preparation of medico legal reports and giving evidence in court, in clinical negligence and personal injury cases relating to all of these areas. He can act on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a Single Joint Expert.
