Mrs Bridget Hemmant has over 30 years of experience in ophthalmology and has spent the last 17 years involved in medicolegal work.

Mrs Hemmant undertakes expert witness instructions, including the preparation of medico legal reports and giving evidence in court, in personal injury and medical negligence cases relating to general ophthalmology and her subspecialties of oculoplastics and lacrimal work.

She aims to provide timely, reasoned, logical and thorough reports, which can be fully court compliant, or screening reports, according to instructions.

Her services include:

• A turnaround time within four weeks of accepting instructions with all relevant documents.
• Access to a full repertoire of diagnostic services, computerised visual field analysis, ocular coherence tomography and biometry.
• Attendance at conferences in person, by telephone and online.
• Pro-bono advice on case merit prior to instruction.

Mrs Hemmant can act on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a Single Joint Expert.
