Specialist Musculoskeletal Podiatrist
Ms Amy Curran is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Podiatrist at the Gait and Posture Centre (Harley Street) LLP, specialising in the assessment and management of lower limb musculoskeletal disorders, gait abnormalities and biomechanical dysfunction. She has extensive experience in the assessment, prescription and manufacture of custom-made foot orthoses for a wide range of musculoskeletal, biomechanical and sports-related conditions.
Ms Curran holds a First-Class Honours degree in Podiatry from the University of Southampton and a Master's degree in Podiatric Sports and Exercise Medicine from Queen Mary University of London. She has completed Expert Witness training through Cardiff University and has undertaken postgraduate training in gait analysis, sports & exercise medicine, extra corporeal shockwave therapy and MLS laser therapy.
Her clinical practice focuses on detailed biomechanical assessment and gait analysis to identify the underlying causes of lower limb dysfunction. She has particular expertise in the design, prescription and fitting of custom-made orthoses, alongside rehabilitation, exercise therapy and footwear advice, with the aim of restoring function and avoiding unnecessary surgical intervention where appropriate.
Ms Curran is developing her medico-legal practice in the field of lower limb musculoskeletal disorders, gait analysis and biomechanical dysfunction. Having completed formal Expert Witness training through Cardiff University, she is available to accept instructions in personal injury matters and is committed to providing clear, independent and evidence-based expert opinion.
Alongside her clinical practice, Ms Curran has contributed to peer-reviewed research in musculoskeletal and sports medicine, reflecting her commitment to evidence-based practice and continued professional development.
