Mr David Muggridge acts as an accountant and tax adviser to a wide range of business, charity and private clients, encompassing various business sizes and sectors.

David trained with an independent firm of Chartered Accountants, qualifying in 1995. He was a partner in a larger Kent based firm for ten years. In April 2011 he formed his own practice, Ackland Webb, specialising in litigation support work and advice to small and medium-sized businesses.

David has acted as senior statutory auditor to a number of companies and charities, and has prepared reports under the Solicitors Accounts Rules. David also provides specialist advisory services defending clients in tax investigation proceedings. He has provided litigation support services to the legal profession as an expert witness and expert adviser throughout the South East and in London for over 10 years.

David has prepared reports on a wide range of matters including:

• Matrimonial disputes, including share/business valuation, tax calculations and advisory work
• Company/business valuation (and related tax issues) in commercial and matrimonial actions
• Commercial, shareholder and partnership disputes
• Business interruption and loss of profits claims
• Loss of earnings & fatal accident claims
• Employment and professional negligence matters
• Attending mediations as expert adviser
• Tax, VAT and commercial fraud
• Confiscation orders and other criminal matters

Court Attendances

David has given evidence in County and Crown Courts and has attended Court on other occasions to assist Counsel in criminal and civil matters. He can act on behalf of the claimant, the defendant or as a Single Joint Expert.
